Sauget

A city in the St. Louis area

Sauget is a small industrial city just across the Mississippi River from St. Louis, and its two music venues do most of the heavy lifting for nightlife on the Illinois side of the river. Pop's Nightclub & Concert Venue has been a St. Louis institution since 1981, doubling as a late-night club and a concert venue with a capacity of 1,700. Its booking skews heavily toward rock, metal, and hard rock, with recent and upcoming shows from acts like Adelitas Way, Kingdom Collapse, and 3 Pill Morning, alongside hip-hop bookings such as Bone Thugs-N-Harmony. The venue can host live music any night of the week, including late-night cover bands on Fridays and Saturdays. OZ Nightclub is known for its late-night parties that last until sunrise. It runs Thursday through Saturday, opening at 11 p.m. A separate VIP area called the Red Room features karaoke on Fridays and Latin music on Saturdays. The two venues sit close together, making Sauget a destination for St. Louis-area night-owl crowds looking for live music and late-night dancing.
