West Toledo
West Toledo's live-music offerings run along its Monroe Street and Central Avenue corridors, anchored by two spots with distinct personalities. Bier Stube, on Monroe Street, has been a neighborhood fixture since 1965. It pours 60-plus beers on tap and runs live music every weekend, bands play Fridays from 6 to 10pm and Saturdays from 8 to 11pm, with karaoke picking up after the band each night. Weeknights fill out with trivia and Name That Tune. The room draws a loyal local crowd and leans toward bar-band rock and cover acts. Voodoo Brewing Co., on Central Avenue, is a craft brewpub known for a wide selection of house-brewed beers made with an emphasis on quality. The venue offers live music and outdoor seating, and also hosts music quiz nights for those who'd rather test their knowledge than watch a set. Together, the two give West Toledo a low-key, neighborhood-bar character where regulars mix with craft-beer seekers most weekends.
