Eagan is a south-metro suburb whose live-music options run from a rock-forward brewery taproom to a compact prohibition-era speakeasy. Bald Man Brewing pairs artisan beer and rock music, with live performances built into the regular lineup. The brewery hosts bands on Thursday nights year-round, moving shows to an outdoor stage in summer, and books across a wide range of genres including classic rock, blues, Americana, folk, jazz, and singer-songwriter acts, with room for up to 250 people. Bigger occasions have included a Rocktoberfest event in the front parking lot with a large trailer stage. On the quieter end, Volstead House is tucked behind a burger joint in a strip mall, fitting roughly 75 guests in a space that was once a mechanic's service bay, and was named the Star Tribune's cocktail lounge of the year in 2023. It focuses on prohibition-era classics and over 60 whiskeys, with live music adding to the old-school atmosphere. The city also runs a free summer concert series at the Eagan Rotary Bandshell, open to the public each week.
