Minnetonka
Minnetonka's live-music options center on its craft brewery taprooms. Boom Island Brewing relocated to Minnetonka in the summer of 2019, bringing with it a tradition of live music rooted in its Minneapolis days. Down in Minneapolis, the brewery had a tradition of a jazz night, and that carries forward: reviewers note live jazz on Friday nights alongside trivia nights and food trucks at the taproom. A classic patio, a 30-foot bar, and reclaimed barnwood beams give the room a low-key, old-world feel that suits an informal live set. Unmapped Brewing has been pouring since June 17, 2017, and is listed as a brewery with live music on Excelsior Blvd. The dog-friendly venue hosts a variety of entertainment and events, with food trucks providing rotating food options. Both spots are taproom-scale, walk-in friendly, and keep most events free or low-cost.
