Pittsburgh
Pittsburgh is a historic Atlanta neighborhood south of the Old Fourth Ward and close to downtown. Its live-music presence centers on a single distinctive anchor. Eyedrum Art & Music Gallery is a non-profit art space and venue founded in 1998, focused on contemporary art, film, literary arts, and experimental music ranging from chamber music and sound sculpture to drone noise and art rock. For years it was ground zero for Atlanta's underground and avant-garde art and music scenes. Its current home is at 515 Ralph David Abernathy Blvd SW in southwest Atlanta. Shows can be held any night of the week, though the organization is selective with its programming. Recent bookings have included chamber music built around audience interaction and board games, presented by the Atlanta Contemporary Music Collective. Events are all ages.
