North Normal
North Normal's two music venues sit on opposite ends of the scale. DESTIHL Brewery & Beer Hall, the production brewery at 1200 Greenbriar Dr., has been crafting beverages and hospitality experiences in Normal since 2007. Live music is a priority here, spanning a variety of genres, and the TourBus Concert Series draws large crowds. Lawn TourBus shows run every Friday and Saturday night from mid-May through September, honoring the American music scene with local and regional musicians, then move indoors to the Barrel Room from November through April. Shows take place on the front lawn, with lawn chairs welcome. Black Dirt Management books the music. A few blocks away, The Corn Crib is a multi-purpose stadium at 1000 W. Raab Rd., primarily used for baseball as the home of the Normal CornBelters, with a capacity of 7,000. The outdoor venue also hosts a steady slate of concerts and community events alongside its sports calendar, making it the neighborhood's large-format option when touring acts come through.
