Brookfield's live-music scene runs on a reliable weekly calendar anchored by two neighborhood spots and supported by a summer of outdoor events. Imperial Oak Brewing hosts Jazz Night every Tuesday at 7 p.m., rotating local jazz artists with no cover. The brewery also holds an open mic on the third Wednesday of each month, welcoming covers, originals, solos, and duos. Each summer, Imperial Oak's Beats & Brews festival puts up a big-top tent for a multi-day event spotlighting up-and-coming musicians performing originals alongside covers. Pub 78, a neighborhood bar on Grand Boulevard, books live bands and runs its own open mic and Singo nights. Wednesday open mic is a weekly fixture there. Beyond the two venues, Kiwanis Park hosts free Friday night concerts through the end of August, and Music on Grand closes Grand Boulevard on the last Saturday of the month from June through September for live music and outdoor bar seating.
