McCook is a small, heavily industrial suburb just west of Chicago with a modest live-music footprint. Its one dedicated entertainment venue is the Stadium Club at the Max, a sports bar and restaurant on the upper level of The MAX, the McCook Athletic & Expo Center on Vernon Ave. The club runs live music on weekends and Acoustic Thursdays, the latter focused on solo or duo guitar performances. Sunday evenings bring a regular "Salsa Sunday" series, with DJs spinning for dancers throughout the summer. Karaoke nights and a recurring Hugo's Elvis tribute show round out the weekly calendar. A dedicated center-stage area gives clear sightlines from all tables, and there is open floor space for dancing. The venue also has a second-floor outdoor deck. For anyone in the area, the Stadium Club is the only live-music stop in town.
