Edison Park
A neighborhood in Chicago
Chicago's furthest northwest neighborhood, Edison Park keeps its live-music options close to home and unpretentious. The neighborhood celebrates its Irish ancestry with an annual Irish Sunday Funday, where bars host live music and Irish dancers. The annual Edison Park Fest brings live bands to outdoor stages each summer, and the scene indoors is anchored by two spots with notably different characters. Firewater Saloon is a country-western saloon offering BBQ comfort food and live music events. It takes pride in featuring Chicago-area country music as well as acts from Nashville, with live music on Friday and Saturday evenings. The booking roster also pulls in rock cover bands and tribute acts, including a band billed as "Edison Park's very own." Tavern on the Point opened during the pandemic and offers 7,500 square feet of space across multiple levels, with a sound system designed for live music and DJs. Events range from Acoustic Fridays to live karaoke nights, and the calendar has included soul and funk bands like Second Hand Soul. It also holds the distinction of being Edison Park's first rooftop outdoor space.
