Park Ridge

A suburb in the Chicago area

Park Ridge is a first-ring suburb of Chicago, and its live-music footprint is small but real, concentrated in the Uptown district. The Harp and Fiddle, in the heart of Uptown Park Ridge, has been the area's main gathering spot for food, drinks, and live music since 2016. A rustic-contemporary tavern with American and Irish comfort food, craft beer, and a patio, it hosts live music nights, trivia contests, and holiday celebrations throughout the year. The pub also runs a weekly traditional Irish music session, laid-back and well-attended, led by local trad musicians. A short distance away, fire + wine opened in February 2025 in the former Zaza Cucina space in Uptown. The restaurant labels its menu "rustic Italian," and it launched a live music program on Sundays for brunch, with plans to expand to additional nights during the week. Together the two venues give Park Ridge a neighborhood-scale scene that leans Irish trad and casual Italian dining nights rather than ticketed concerts.
