Prairie River Restaurant sits in the basement of the Eaglewood Conference Center in Itasca, serving as the suburb's primary dedicated live-music spot. A fun, casual pub-style restaurant, it books live music every Friday and Saturday night from Memorial Day weekend through October. The fire pit and patio area anchor a "Sounds of Summer" and "Fire Pit Fall" concert series, running weekends Memorial Day through Halloween. When weather cooperates, the outdoor setting is the draw; when it doesn't, live bands move inside. The outdoor space also features fire pits, bocce ball, and golf. Beyond Prairie River, the Itasca Park District runs a free outdoor summer concert series at Usher Park and the Depot Museum, featuring bands from across the Chicagoland area. The annual ItascaFest at Washington Park adds four nights of live local and regional bands each summer.
