Joliet

A suburb in the Chicago area

Downtown Joliet keeps live music central to its entertainment district, with venues ranging from a 1,900-seat historic theater to small Irish pubs. The Rialto Square Theatre, called "The Jewel of Joliet," was built in 1926 as a vaudeville house and, after a 1980 restoration, again draws headline acts. The 1,900-seat theater books concerts, musical and dance programs, dramas, and comedy. The Forge opened in April 2017 and books all genres any night of the week, also taking outside promoters and private rentals. The room pulls in national touring bands, hard rock and metal acts, hip-hop artists, indie performers, tribute nights, and stand-up shows. The iCon Lounge operates within The Forge complex on Cass Street. Chicago Street Pub is downtown Joliet's anchor Irish pub, hosting traditional Irish music every Monday and a monthly open mic, with local musicians filling the calendar throughout the month. The pub bills itself as Joliet's premier venue for live original music. The Croatian Cultural Club is a social club open to the public Wednesday through Sunday, offering live music alongside Croatian and American food and cultural events. It features free admission shows on its big dance floor. Industry Tap House also appears on local live-music bar lists, though specific booking details were not found.
