Corryville

Corryville's central business district runs along Short Vine, a stretch of Vine Street that holds bars, restaurants, and music venues. Short Vine also has roots as a punk and alternative rock corridor, having hosted venues like Sudsy Malone's Rock 'n Roll Laundry & Bar through the 1980s and 1990s. The neighborhood's anchor is Bogart's. Located on Short Vine near the University of Cincinnati, the building opened as a vaudeville theater called the Nordland Plaza Nickelodeon in 1905. It became Bogart's after an extensive remodel in the mid-1970s, first as a 250-seat club, then expanding around 1980, and again to 1,500 seats in 1993. The venue books multiple genres and is managed by Live Nation, with a pit floor and a balcony open for larger shows. Past performers include Nine Inch Nails, The Black Keys, Tracy Chapman, Twenty One Pilots, and Kid Cudi. Dive Bar, also on Short Vine, features live music and is open daily from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Yelp categorizes it as a blues bar alongside its dive bar identity. Reviewers commonly use it as a pre-show stop before Bogart's, which sits directly across the street.
