Ohio City's live-music profile is anchored by two distinct venues on Detroit Ave and West 25th Street. BOP STOP at The Music Settlement is an intimate, acoustically pristine listening room that books both up-and-coming and well-established acts on the near-West Side. Its capacity is only 100, and it has been included in Downbeat Magazine's International Venue Guide and was named All About Jazz's Top Jazz Club in the United States in 2019. Programming runs from all-star big-band nights and jazz jam sessions to collaborations between Indian classical musicians and area jazz players. Club Alma Yaucana, founded in June 1961, is considered the first and oldest Puerto Rican social club in Cleveland. It offers Latin music and dancing, open Friday through Sunday nights. Shooters Cleveland and Whiskey Island are listed as venues in the neighborhood.
