Cassady
Cassady sits in the northeast part of Columbus and is a small, primarily residential neighborhood. Its one dedicated music venue is a national concept with a distinctive format. Ivan Kane's Forty Deuce opened its midwest flagship at Easton Town Center in Columbus, adding an authentic New York Pizzeria downstairs and a speakeasy entered through a walk-in refrigerator in the pizzeria kitchen. The Forty Deuce Burlesque Nightclub runs as a DJ-fueled dance party with go-go dancers and a world-famous burlesque show backed by a live swinging jazz band. Shows run every Friday and Saturday night, with the evening split between an earlier supper-club set and a late-night nightclub format. The burlesque show features headliners from Hollywood, Las Vegas, New York, and Miami, backed by a three-piece band that performs on a revolving turntable. Live music here is woven into a specific theatrical production rather than a general booking calendar, so the experience is consistent night to night rather than genre-varied.
