Waukee
Vibrant Music Hall is Waukee's newest addition to the Des Moines-area music scene, and it has quickly become the suburb's most prominent draw. The venue opened in November 2023 and is a two-story, 61,000-square-foot space operated by Live Nation, with capacity for 3,500. It sits at the center of the KeeTown Loop entertainment district, which also includes restaurants, shops, and hotels. The hall books concerts, comedy, and private events, and recent and upcoming acts have included Bleachers, Rise Against, and Kansas. On the smaller end, Kenny's Garage is a dive bar in Waukee with a consistent lineup of live music that draws both locals and visitors. Live music runs Thursday through Saturday nights, with no cover charge and an open jam session every Thursday evening. Together the two venues give Waukee an unusually wide range for a suburb, from touring national acts to a no-frills neighborhood bar stage.
