Corktown
Lager House anchors Corktown's live-music identity, billing itself as a home for indie, punk, rock, and alternative artists. Its bookings span original rock, rockabilly, heavy metal, hip hop, hardcore, Detroit punk, deep blues, and acoustic music. Music typically starts around 10 p.m. and most shows run free to a $5 cover. Lager House also operates a sister room, After Hours @ Brooklyn, around the corner on Brooklyn Street. Batch Brewing Company hosts events on an outdoor stage and pavilion, including Reset Fest, a multi-day ambient music and visual-art gathering. The brewery also programs trivia nights, live musical performances, and seasonal beer celebrations throughout the year. Corktown Tavern has become known for hosting live music events that attract both local and touring bands. McShane's Irish Pub carries live music alongside its whiskey and Irish food offerings. The annual Corktown Music Festival spreads punk, folk, country, and rock across nine neighborhood venues. The three-day event draws on Michigan's broader music pool, covering styles from punk and folk to country and rock.
