Lake Orion

Lake Orion is a village on the northern edge of Metro Detroit in Oakland County, with a compact downtown that punches above its size for live music. The anchor is 20 Front Street, opened in 2016 when several families converted an old antique shop into an intimate music venue. It operates as a mostly acoustic listening room designed to prioritize sound quality, with a capacity of around 80 people, and books genres spanning acoustic, Americana, bluegrass, blues, folk, indie, jazz, and singer-songwriter from both local and touring national acts. Shows run Thursday through Saturday nights. A few blocks away, Wine Social sits in downtown Lake Orion with a patio overlooking Paint Creek and serves as a wine bar with a wide selection of wines, cocktails, and beer. It hosts live music every weekend, ranging from acoustic sets to DJs. The downtown area also supports an outdoor LOLive! summer music series, with concerts on Wednesday evenings and First Fridays.
