New Haven's live-music spots sit within a few blocks of each other on Broadway Street, giving the city a compact, walkable bar corridor east of Fort Wayne. Carl's Tavern (433 Broadway) leans hard into metal and underground music, and has previously welcomed acts such as Narcotic Wasteland and Insane Poetry. Live music can fall on any night of the week, though most shows land on weekends. Karaoke runs on Thursdays and EDM nights on Tuesdays, rounding out a full weekly calendar. Rack & Helen's (525 Broadway) has been serving the Fort Wayne and New Haven area since 1972. The family-owned establishment has expanded over the years and now offers seating for 200 on the main floor and 140 in a banquet room. The venue hosts live music events, and also schedules karaoke and trivia nights. The city itself runs the Music, Market, and Munchies (M3) concert series, a family-friendly summer and fall event featuring live music alongside food trucks and a makers market.
