Broadway
Broadway, known locally as the Broadway Arts District, is Fort Wayne's live-music corridor, running from downtown through the former General Electric campus that is now Electric Works. The music comes in several different flavors along this stretch. The Brass Rail books original music year-round, local and touring alike. It's a 21+ dive bar and Indiana's top seller of Pabst Blue Ribbon, with enough pull to attract national-act attention. Electric Works occupies the historic General Electric campus in the Broadway Arts District and brings free, outdoor live music to the neighborhood. It absorbed "Rock the Plaza," a free concert series the Allen County Public Library had run for nearly two decades, relocating and renaming it "Rock the Works." Concerts take place at Weigand Yard outside Union Street Market, with indoor space available as backup. Davey's Delicious Bagels, at 1006 Broadway, is a café known for bagels and coffee whose atmosphere features local artwork and live music events. On weekends it has stayed open late for DJs, poets, musicians, and comedy. Mad Anthony Brewing Co., also on Broadway, rounds out the strip as a brewpub with regular live-music bookings.
