West Central
West Central is a historic Fort Wayne neighborhood whose one dedicated music-venue presence is Henry's Restaurant on West Main Street. Henry's opened in 1959 as a small tavern and has operated ever since as a late-night bar and dining spot. The bar itself came from the former Miller's Tavern near North Side High School, and Henry's has long been a stomping ground for reporters, theatergoers, and neighborhood residents. Under its current owners, live music has been brought back to the room. Henry's has been voted the best burger in Fort Wayne, and the food-and-drinks side of the house remains central to the experience. The neighborhood itself leans more residential than music-heavy, though the annual West Central ArtsFest brings free live music to the streets, along with food trucks and a cash bar.
