North Side's live-music activity runs along and around North Wells Street, with a distinct range of room sizes and formats. 2Toms Brewing Company, at 3676 N Wells Street, is an artisan brewery that pulls double duty as a music spot, hosting multi-band events like Session Fest alongside specialty beer releases. A few blocks north, Charlie's Place at 4201 N Wells is a women-owned bar and cocktail lounge that books live music two nights a week, with DJs running Friday and Saturday nights starting at 9 pm. Charlie's also maintains a dog-friendly patio used for live outdoor music in the summer. An attached event center, The Venue at Charlie's Place, holds up to 200 guests for private and ticketed events. Deer Park Irish Pub on St. Francis Drive rounds out the neighborhood's pub-style live-music options and appears regularly on Fort Wayne's live-music calendars. The neighborhood also has a jazz tradition: the annual jazz festival held at North Side High School each February bills itself as the best full day of jazz in Northeast Indiana, featuring groups including Fort Wayne's New Millennium Jazz Orchestra.
