Wells Street
Wells Street sits just north of downtown Fort Wayne, a short corridor of independent shops and creative businesses that spills toward the riverfront. Its two live-music spots lean on a neighborhood-bar feel rather than a concert-hall setup. Draft Taproom & Coffee (1833 N. Wells St.) grew out of a local graphic-design company and serves Midwest craft beers, wines, meads, ciders, coffees, and sourdough pizza alongside local makers and artists. It often hosts live local music, block parties, and collaborates with other Fort Wayne creatives in food, drinks, and art. Live music turns up most often on Saturdays. Hop River Brewing Company (1515 N. Harrison St., just off Wells near 4th) is an award-winning Fort Wayne microbrewery and taproom that opened in February 2018. It runs a 15-barrel production brewery just north of the Riverfront development area. Live music is offered on various nights, alongside trivia nights and seasonal events. The family-friendly atmosphere includes board games and pinball machines.
