Quimby Village

Quimby Village is a south-side shopping center on Bluffton Road, just off Broadway, built in the 1950s. The complex was the brainchild of local theater magnate Clyde Quimby, who owned theaters downtown and chose this location as his first suburban venture. Today, live music defines the strip, courtesy of two connected venues operated by Sweetwater Sound. The Clyde Theatre, originally a movie house, was renovated into a concert and event venue after a $9 million investment in the theater restoration project. The Clyde hosts over 150 events per year, including national touring artists. Its sound and lighting were designed by Sweetwater, and the calendar covers rock, country, blues, jazz, tribute acts, comedy shows, and more, with seating that flexes between reserved and general admission depending on the show. Next door, The Club Room at The Clyde pairs food, craft drinks, and live entertainment, conveniently located next to the Clyde Theatre. Its live music calendar features rock, country, blues, jazz, and more, with something new each week, making it the smaller, more casual counterpart to the main stage next door.
