Old Northside is a historic community known for its Victorian-era architecture and rich cultural heritage, and its live-music spaces reflect that character, all three are repurposed historic buildings rather than conventional music clubs. Indiana Landmarks Center is a restored turn-of-the-century church at 1201 Central Avenue, originally built in 1891 as Central Avenue Methodist Church, now presenting its historic spaces for musical performances alongside films, lectures, and events. The venue's Grand Hall is home to the site's restored 1892 Sanborn organ, which has been featured in live organ performances. Current programming includes ticketed Candlelight concert series events. McGowan Hall is a restored 1922 building on North Delaware Street whose 5,000-square-foot Grand Hall, with original maple hardwood floors, a stage, and a bar, hosts concerts alongside weddings and corporate events. Its basement piano lounge, complete with a 1970s-era jukebox, hosts regular jazz jams. Live music offerings like the CP3 Jazz Trio have reinforced its role as a locally rooted music venue.
