West Lincoln

West Lincoln's biggest musical landmark is the Pla-Mor Ballroom on West O Street. Open for over 90 years, it has hosted legendary big bands including Count Basie and Lawrence Welk since its December 1929 opening. It is considered one of the oldest remaining large ballrooms in the country, anchored by a large hardwood dance floor. Programming across the decades has included 1940s swing nights and Country Sundays. The 1st Avenue Lounge & Social Hall, on North 1st Street, takes a more flexible approach: the hall includes a stage, dance floor, and sound and lighting systems, while the lounge side runs live music, special events, karaoke, and dances. The combined space seats up to 400. The Royal Grove draws crowds for DJs, with fans calling it home to "the best DJs Lincoln has seen." Witches Brew is the fourth venue in the area, though specific booking details were not confirmed in available sources.
