Sun Prairie is a Madison suburb with a modest live-music footprint. Most nights out require a drive into the city, but Full Mile Beer Co. & Kitchen anchors what local scene there is. Full Mile Beer Company & Kitchen is a locally-owned restaurant, tavern, and craft brewery in downtown Sun Prairie. It pours up to 16 house-brewed beers on tap and books live music every other Saturday and some Thursday nights. Weekend brunch runs until 2 p.m. with live music from spring through fall, and the venue has an outdoor patio. The brewery specializes in German styles, hearty and sometimes little known. Acts that have played here include the Ryan McGrath Band, a Madison-based blues, country, and rock group rooted in classic American music, and The Real Roots Rockers, who blend tropical reggae and Latin rhythms. Admission to shows is free. During warmer months, the city also runs weekly Concerts in the Park on Wednesday nights.
