Cottage Grove

Cottage Grove is a small Dane County village of about 7,300 people sitting just east of Madison. Its live-music options are limited but anchored by one dedicated spot. Doundrins Distilling, a craft distillery at 300 Progress Drive, runs an indoor tasting room and an 11,000 sq ft outdoor cocktail garden. The garden holds up to 300 people; the indoor space holds up to 150. Isthmus lists it as a live-music venue, with shows scheduled most Thursday and weekend evenings throughout the spring and summer. Events regularly pair live music with food trucks, makers markets, trivia, and bingo. Doundrins has also served as the site of the Beats & Eats festival, a food-truck and live-music event drawing local performers. The village itself runs Music In The Grove, a free, family-friendly outdoor performance series held in local parks on Thursday evenings throughout the summer.
