A suburb in the Madison area
Waunakee keeps its live-music activity largely tied to its bars, breweries, and community events rather than dedicated concert venues. The village runs a Tuesday-night summer concert series in Village Park, bringing live bands to the gazebo throughout the season. Make Music Waunakee also participates in the global Make Music Day celebration each June 21st, spreading free, outdoor performances across the village. Among the indoor venues, Buck & Honey's hosts live music Wednesday through Saturday nights during the warmer months. Outdoor patio nights at Buck & Honey's are a draw on warm weekends, often pairing live music with a relaxed summer atmosphere. Octopi Brewing runs one of the more active schedules in town: their large patio and green space features live music multiple days a week from May through September. The taproom has been a community gathering space for over ten years and seats up to 100 people indoors. Rex's Innkeeper and The Lone Girl Brewing Company round out the venue options, adding further spots where locals can catch live acts on any given weekend.
