West Memphis
West Memphis sits just across the Mississippi from Memphis, Tennessee, and its live-music identity runs along the same Delta blues roots that define the broader region. Festivals like Blues Off Broadway and Rhythm & Ribs keep live performance active through the year. The Mayor Joyce Ferguson Civic Center anchors much of that activity, hosting the Blues Off Broadway concert series, which draws live acts celebrating the sounds of the Delta. Blues Off Broadway runs every Thursday in May, pairing free live music with food trucks and a beer garden. CJ's Blues & Sports Bar on East Broadway programs live blues, jazz, and R&B. The bar is open into the early morning hours on weekends. Ethel's Old Airport Club, out on Highway 70, runs karaoke on Thursdays and Sundays and brings in bands on Saturday nights. The club has been in operation since 1977. Southland Casino Hotel has drawn touring acts, including a 2025 Trucktoberfest bill featuring Morris Day and the Time, the Bar-Kays, and Ruthie Foster.
