Northwest Omaha
Northwest Omaha's live-music offering is built around neighborhood bars that keep a steady weekend schedule without trying to compete with the bigger rooms downtown. Beach House Bar & Grill (5338 N 103rd St) runs live music every weekend alongside comedy, karaoke, poker, music bingo, and open mic nights. Most live shows fall on Fridays and Saturdays, with Thursdays reserved for open mic. The room holds around 250 and is 21+. The venue books both cover and original artists. Brokedown Palace sits on the outskirts of the Benson neighborhood at 8805 Maple St. Two childhood friends opened the bar around their love of the Grateful Dead and the Nebraska Cornhuskers. It regularly hosts karaoke, live music, Monday bingo, and Keno, drawing a casual local crowd. The Drinkery also books live acts, with genre-specific nights like "Pop Goes Metal" on Thursdays. All three spots run a similar model: bar-room stages, local and regional acts, and a rotating mix of music nights and social events through the week.
