West Davenport
West Davenport's live-music options range from a motorcycle-themed bar to a fairgrounds grandstand. Gypsy Highway, at 2606 W. Locust Street, is a motorcycle-themed bar and live-music venue with guitars on display, featuring live music throughout the week. Top genres there include blues and country, and the calendar has pulled touring acts alongside local bands. The venue has both indoor and outdoor stages with plenty of seating. A few blocks away, Hose Station No. 7 is a newer addition. The restored 1905 firehouse at 1354 W. 4th St. reopened as a multi-use event and live-music venue after six years of renovation. The two-story building, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, hosts private celebrations, DJ nights, and concerts, with access to a renovated penthouse upstairs. The neighborhood's largest stage is the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds on W. Locust Street. The fairgrounds hosts nightly grandstand concerts featuring top national acts during its annual fair, with past performers including Keith Urban, Brad Paisley, and the Goo Goo Dolls.
