Downtown
Downtown Toledo's largest concert draw is the Huntington Center, an arena with concert capacities ranging from roughly 4,800 to over 9,300 depending on configuration. It has hosted national touring acts across a wide range of genres, including Janet Jackson, Elton John, Carrie Underwood, Tool, and Bob Seger. The venue also hosts events like the Toledo Urban Musicfest, which has featured artists such as Zapp and Eric Benet. At the other end of the scale, the Valentine Theatre, founded in 1895 and opened on Christmas Day of that year, is a historic anchor of downtown's arts calendar. Built in 1895 and fully renovated in 1999, it seats 901 people and has hosted the Toledo Jazz Orchestra and the Toledo Symphony Orchestra, alongside productions of Grease and Cabaret. The Toledo Opera also performs here. Outdoors, Promenade Park serves as the anchor for the "Party in the Park" concert series, drawing local and regional acts across genres including R&B, country, and rock tributes throughout the summer.
