Lyndale
Bryant Square Park is one of many Minneapolis parks hosting Music in the Parks, an annual series run by the Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board. Local bands play free shows across Minneapolis from June through early August. The venue's anchor is the Bryant Square POPS (Public Outdoor Performance Space), a small amphitheater built into the hillside in 2008, featuring a 20-foot circular plaza with two rows of retaining-wall seating. Genres in the series span swing, folk, rock, bluegrass, classical, and more. Performances run most Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30 to 8:00 PM, brought together through a partnership among Bryant Square Park, the MPRB, and the South Uptown Neighborhood. All concerts are free and open to all ages. Outside of summer, live music in Lyndale proper is limited; the park is the neighborhood's main dedicated music space.
