Mill District

The Mill District sits on ground once nicknamed the "Milling Capital of the World," and its converted industrial footprint now holds a small but distinct live-music cluster. Day Block Brewing Company is the neighborhood's most active music room, hosting live events three to four times weekly and welcoming artists of any genre. Shows run Thursday through Saturday in the taproom, which keeps an intimate feel, and move to the outdoor patio during summer months. One reviewer noted that roughly 90 percent of area breweries don't attempt live music, making Day Block's commitment a genuine anchor for the neighborhood's scene. The Bazemnt Lounge is a subterranean, upscale nightlife room that leans toward Afrobeat, house, and Bollywood nights rather than traditional concert programming. Music is DJ-driven, and the room typically gets going around 11:30 p.m. to midnight. Umbra, inside the Canopy Hotel, is primarily a bistro-style restaurant with live-music nights on its schedule. Verifiable detail on The Front Cafe's music programming was not found.
