Druid Hills
Druid Hills is a historic Atlanta neighborhood anchored by Emory University, and its live-music options reflect that academic-residential character: two recurring outdoor series, one intimate nonprofit room, and a university hall. Callanwolde Fine Arts Center operates as a nonprofit community arts center on a historic 12-acre estate. It runs two seasonal music series: a Spring Concert Series in the outdoor amphitheater featuring blues, soul, jazz, Americana, and classic pop, and Jazz on the Lawn, an annual series of live jazz under the stars. The programming draws artists from across the Southeast. Intown Coffeehouse is a not-for-profit live music event space that supports emerging local musicians and artists. It sits at the corner of Lavista Road and Houston Mill Road, designed as an intimate listening-room venue. The "Red Boot Roots" series is one of the recurring house-concert programs it hosts, with past performers including folk, Americana, and singer-songwriter acts. The Schwartz Center for Performing Arts at Emory offers cultural performances and events open to the public.
