Piedmont Heights

Smith's Olde Bar has been an Atlanta institution since 1994, booking local, regional, and national acts. It sits on Piedmont Avenue in Piedmont Heights, a primarily residential neighborhood just north of Midtown. The venue runs two performance spaces: the Music Room upstairs, which holds 300, and the downstairs Atlanta Room, which holds 100. The calendar runs rock, indie, Americana, jam, and singer-songwriter acts regularly. Since opening, it has hosted notable names from the music industry and continues to book bands alongside open-mic comedy and sports viewing. The building also includes a game room, covered patio, and a full bar and menu. For Piedmont Heights residents, Smith's is the neighborhood's one dedicated live-music anchor.
