Winnetka
A suburb in the Chicago area
Winnetka's live-music footprint is modest day-to-day but spikes once a year with the Winnetka Music Festival. Established in 2017, the festival is a homegrown summer concert series in downtown Winnetka on Chicago's North Shore, coordinated by Valslist and Evanston's SPACE, and focused on emerging breakout artists. The 2026 edition drew about 14,000 people over two days, with headliners Trombone Shorty and Father John Misty across 30 acts and four stages, including an intimate chapel stage for singer-songwriter sets. For live music the rest of the year, Little Honeycomb, a casual restaurant and bar at 540 Lincoln Avenue, is the main spot. The restaurant hosts live music events on a recurring basis, with scheduling posted to its social media pages. Past nights have run Thursday evenings from 8 to 10 PM, with drink specials alongside the music. It's a neighborhood-dining room first, with live music as a periodic added draw rather than a nightly focus.
