Pendleton
Pendleton sits on the east side of Over-the-Rhine and punches well above its size for live music, anchored almost entirely by the Hard Rock Casino Cincinnati complex. Hard Rock Cafe Cincinnati, right in the Pendleton neighborhood, pairs dining with rock and roll memorabilia and live entertainment on the main floor. The Cafe draws regional favorites and national acts, with first-come, first-served seating starting at 10 PM. The larger room in the complex, Hard Rock Cincinnati Ballroom is a modern indoor venue within the casino, featuring state-of-the-art sound and lighting and hosting live concerts, DJ performances, and special events. It holds up to 4,000 people. Past bookings have included Mitchell Tenpenny, Chris Young, and Jo Dee Messina, with the calendar spanning rock, R&B, country, and comedy. For something smaller, Lucius Q opened its flagship location in the Pendleton Arts District in 2018, serving BBQ alongside craft beers and spirits in a modern-industrial space. On weekends it doubles as a music spot, featuring live local music most Friday nights.
