German Village
German Village is a historic neighborhood just south of downtown Columbus, better known for dining and 19th-century brick architecture than for late-night music. The live-music options here stay squarely inside the restaurant-and-bar format. Barcelona Restaurant and Bar, on East Whittier Street, is a Spanish-cuisine spot in the heart of the neighborhood that leans into recurring live music. Sunday performances run 6 to 8 p.m. with no cover charge, and the venue also hosts local musical talent on Wednesday evenings. A "Barcelona After Dark Music Series" has run on Fridays as well. Lindey's is an upscale-casual restaurant in German Village, open since 1981 and known for American cuisine, premium steaks, and one of the city's most popular outdoor patios. Its music programming is more targeted: live jazz on the first Thursday of each month, 6:30 to 10 p.m., with patio events in the colder months pairing live music with seasonal cocktails.
