Olde Towne East

Olde Towne East sits on Columbus's historic Near East Side and its live-music presence ranges from outdoor community events to bar-room regulars. The Olde Towne East Jazz Festival, founded in 2023, aims to put the neighborhood on the map as a jazz and arts destination. The neighborhood association also runs free monthly concerts at the Community Garden on Oak Street, featuring local acts playing jazz, blues, pop, and soul from May through September. The anchor music spot is the Historic Trolley District. The complex was developed from the abandoned buildings of the old Columbus Electric Car Barn, dating to the 1880s. East Market runs live music on Friday evenings from 7 to 10 p.m. Inside the same complex, The Railhouse bar anchors the venue with an expansive patio. Down on Parsons Avenue, The Olde Oak is a pub at 62 Parsons Ave. It hosts an open mic every Monday, with sign-ups starting at 7, covering music, comedy, and poetry. Live music and happy hour specials are regular features. The Oracle also operates in the neighborhood as a music venue.
