Victorian Village
Victorian Village's live-music life is split between the outdoors and the underground. Goodale Park's Music Series, now in its 15th-plus season, runs a free local concert series in the park's gazebo. All-Columbus lineups take the gazebo stage on Sunday afternoons, presented by the Short North Civic Association. The series carries a threefold mission: promoting community and diversity, supporting Columbus musicians, and celebrating the park itself. The park also doubles as the home of ComFest, a free, non-corporate music and arts festival held each June in Victorian Village. On the indoor side, Sotto Terra is an underground speakeasy beneath The Sanctuary On Neil, booking live music alongside dance parties, karaoke, and Drag bingo. The room leans toward an upscale speakeasy feel, with record listening parties and theme music nights featuring local artists. Together the two venues give the neighborhood a range that stretches from free, all-ages Sunday afternoons in the grass to late-night ticketed shows below street level.
