Wildemere Park

A neighborhood in Detroit

Wildemere Park is a residential northwestern Detroit neighborhood with a quiet character, continuing a long area legacy of small music venues along the Dexter-Linwood corridor, including the now-closed Minor Key, Hobby Bar, and Linwood Theatre. Moondog Cafe, an artist-forward listening lounge and small concert cafe on Linwood and Montgomery, is the neighborhood's sole current live-music address. The club focuses on jazz and electronic music, hosting both local and nationally touring acts. Programming includes experimental and improvisational music performances, live cassette recordings, open jam sessions, film screenings, and panels. Internet radio station Blue Moon Radio broadcasts live from the cafe every Saturday. Music production collective D.Cipher hosts a jam session on the last Thursday of every month. The main room fits 85. The cafe does not serve alcohol. It is one of the only businesses to open in the neighborhood in years.
