Eastwood
Stage One is a performing arts center inside Sycamore Creek Church's Eastwood campus, opened in 2023. A renovated former church space with about 150 seats, it serves as the permanent home for Peppermint Creek Theatre Company and Ixion Ensemble Theatre, two community theater groups that had been without a fixed venue for years. The space also hosts live music, community events, and private rentals. Stage One operates as a creative collaboration involving the church's multi-campus congregation, Peppermint Creek Theater Company, the Ixion Ensemble, and the Hope Central Urban Arts after-school program. On the music side, the venue draws folk, Americana, and singer-songwriter shows, including the Good Neighbor Concert Series. An incubator kitchen within the building is home to small businesses Honeybun Bakery and Sweet Lee's Teas, which provide refreshments at many events. For Eastwood, a neighborhood anchored by retail and dining at Eastwood Towne Center, Stage One is the sole dedicated live-performance space.
