Westside

Lansing's Westside sits southwest of downtown, a largely residential neighborhood with a quiet character and a small commercial footprint. Its one dedicated music spot is EagleMonk Pub and Brewery, a craft brewery founded by Dan and Sonia Buonodono on W. Mount Hope Highway that opened when few other breweries existed in the Lansing area. Originally a gas station, it has since become a local favorite for families and friends. Live music runs on Wednesdays in the beer garden, weather permitting, from 7 to 9 pm. EagleMonk bills itself as Lansing's home of original local music. The pub also hosts craft nights, bingo, and monthly charity giving alongside its music programming. All beer is brewed on-site, with 12 taps, two on a beer engine, four wines, and two ciders. For Westside residents, EagleMonk is the neighborhood's primary gathering point for live performance.
