Beaumont
Moondance Amphitheater sits at the center of Beaumont and, with a capacity of 2,000, is the neighborhood's main live-music gathering place, hosting concerts, cultural arts festivals, and theater performances. The outdoor venue has tiered grass levels managed by Lexington Parks & Recreation and draws local, regional, and national talent. The Big Band & Jazz series, one of Lexington's longest-running free concert series, runs on Tuesdays at the amphitheater. The Southland Jamboree takes the stage on Thursday evenings at 7 p.m. at Moondance, with a summer schedule that has included acts like Darrell Webb Band, Rounder's Station, and Coaltown Dixie. Audiences bring blankets and lawn chairs, and food trucks and craft beer are on-site for most events. Over on Beaumont Centre Circle, J. Render's Southern Table & Bar runs live music every Friday and Saturday, plus bluegrass on the patio every Tuesday. The restaurant is known for its Southern-style BBQ and a patio that regularly features live performers.
