Red Mile
Red Mile is a Lexington neighborhood anchored by its historic horse racing track. That track, Red Mile Gaming & Racing, is a horse racing and entertainment venue that books country, rock, and bluegrass, and its calendar runs regularly scheduled DJ nights and live bands in the Fun Zone alongside the annual Railbird Festival, a bluegrass, country, Americana, folk, and rock event held on the infield. Country Boy Brewing, a craft brewery and taproom just outside the Old Distillery District, keeps 24 taps and pairs them with live music and hands-on events. It opened in 2012 as Lexington's first microbrewery and taproom, and its calendar mixes regular music sets with tap releases and community events. Fiddletree Kitchen & Bar draws on southern food and Americana cuisine, and pairs that with live local music and Kentucky bourbon cocktails. Weekend evenings often feature musicians, and reservations are recommended for those nights.
