Tenney-Lapham

A neighborhood in Madison

Breese Stevens Field, at 917 E Mifflin St, is Tenney-Lapham's anchor music venue. Opened in 1926 and owned by the City of Madison Parks Division, the historic stadium holds up to 9,333 for concerts and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Operated by FPC Live, it books touring national acts across a wide range of genres. Past and recent performers include Little Big Town, Train, Brandi Carlile, Halestorm, Lindsey Stirling, and Apocalyptica. Shows are primarily outdoor summer events. The field sits in the middle of a residential neighborhood, so concerts are a genuine presence in the surrounding blocks. Beyond the stadium, Tenney-Lapham does not have a cluster of dedicated live-music bars, though the neighborhood sits close to East Washington Avenue and its broader entertainment corridor.
