Brewers Hill
A neighborhood in Milwaukee
Lakefront Brewery, founded in 1987 by brothers Russ and Jim Klisch, is the anchor of Brewers Hill's live-music scene and sits directly on the Milwaukee River. The brewery runs its own fish fry on Friday nights, with music performed by the Brewhaus Polka Kings. In summer, Lakefront brings back its Current Sounds series, with intimate riverside performances on Saturdays from 2–4 pm and Sundays from 12–2 pm, running every weekend through early September. The 2026 lineup spans jazz, polka, folk, and indie acts, including Smith & Binder Jazz, Happy Shotski Polka, and Caley Conway, among others. The multi-level riverwalk patio was renovated in 2022 to support these shows. Inside, the beer hall has a stage for music just off-center in the room. Beyond Lakefront, Brewers Hill is primarily residential; for a fuller live-music night, the neighborhood points visitors across the river to nearby Brady Street.
