Milwaukee's #1 R&B Party - DJ'ed by Mr. New York
A neighborhood in Milwaukee
Shank Hall, on the East Side since 1989, is a 300-capacity room that books everything from national touring acts to local cover bands. Its name comes from a fictional club in *This Is Spinal Tap*, and past headliners have included No Doubt, The Smashing Pumpkins, and Sarah McLachlan. A few blocks away, The Estate has hosted local and national jazz musicians for more than 40 years, with live jazz on Thursdays and Saturdays and additional acts on other nights. For newer talent, Vivarium is a 450-person venue on the East Side focused on emerging artists. Rounding out the neighborhood's range, Paddy's Pub, just north of North Avenue near Murray and Thomas, hosts a traditional Irish music session on Thursday nights where players are welcome to bring instruments and join in. The Miramar Theatre and Vier North also operate in the neighborhood, giving the East Side a live-music spread that runs from intimate pub sessions to mid-size concert rooms.
